2013年10月,众多世界顶尖艺术家与国际艺术界领袖齐聚威尼斯,庆祝为期一年的2012-2013届劳力士创艺推荐资助计划 (Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative)圆满结束。该慈善项目旨在帮助来自七个艺术领域的新兴年轻艺术家与艺术大师展开合作。
10月21日, Margaret Atwood、Gilberto Gil、Wiliam Kentridge、林怀民、Walter Murch及妹岛和世等七位分别来自文学、音乐、视觉艺术、舞蹈、电影和建筑领域的导师携手他们的年轻门生,参加于威尼斯著名的凤凰剧院举行的庆祝晚宴。劳力士首席执行官Gian Riccardo Marini先生亲自迎接500位贵宾并主持庆典。
庆典前夕,门生们还在“劳力士艺术周末”中展示他们在过去一年中的创作。这一精心策划的艺术节活动于10月19日至20日在威尼斯契尼基金会举行。一座已废弃的1950年代泳池将成为两部电影循环播放的地点,以定格动画展示中国建筑门生赵扬在云南的双子客栈、以及与导师妹岛和世合作完成的共有之家项目。

In October 2013, many top artists and international art world leaders gathered together in Venice, celebrating Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative 2012-2013 to come to a successful end. This programme aims to help young artist from seven fields to collaborate with art masters.
On 21st October, Margaret Atwood, Gilberto Gil, Wiliam Kentridge, Hwai-min Lin, Walter Murch, Kazuo Sejima and other mentors from literature, music, visual arts, dance, film and architecture fields took part in Gala Dinner in La Fenice, Venice. Gian Riccardo Marini, CEO of Rolex, greeted 500 guests and hosted the ceremony.
The weekend will present events ranging across the seven artistic disciplines of the Rolex Arts Initiative and will include a concert, films, dance performances, art installations, readings and other events, giving audiences insights into the year-long artistic journey the young artists have taken with their mentors. A disused 1950s swimming pool is the venue for two looped films, featuring stop-frame construction of new buildings by Chinese architecture protégé Yang Zhao and his mentor Kazuyo Sejima.
